The four young people of the region will be in charge of giving the starting signal to Aste Nagusia Pirata on Saturday. The collective Donostiako Piratak wishes to pay tribute to the assemblies of young people and gaztetxes of the city, emphasizing the work that these self-managed spaces do in the shadow.

The San Sebastian Pirates have affirmed that they share the values of these assemblies of young people and gaztetxes; to present this year’s Matti, taking advantage of the fact that Woody Allen is filming the film in San Sebastian, they have made a parody video, denouncing the San Sebastian city model and claiming the alternative.

“Self-management and articulation”

In the video, in addition to the caricaturization of Woody Allen, the four youths have had the opportunity to express their gratitude to the Pirates and to continue working. “The movements of pirates and gaztetxe are based on self-management and respond to the imposition of a city model,” says a member of the Intxaurrondo Youth Assembly.
