The neighbours of the Ribera de Bilbao district are concerned that asbestos has been removed since Monday. As explained by Agustín Goikoetxea in a press release, "nobody" has previously informed the neighborhood's neighbors of the works and a single note has been placed in the place where it is being executed. According to a neighbour's statements to the journalist, workers have been asked why they have not been notified of any prior warning and the workers have been transferred from the Bilbao City Hall to work without further information.

In this way, the neighbours complain that asbestos removal is putting their health at risk. The workers advise the Foral Police to avoid opening windows and hanging clothes.

Once the complaint has been made public, the residents expect some response from the City Hall of the Biscay capital. As Goikoetxea has been told, it is a question of knowing who is responsible for the works, and so responsibilities have been demanded.
