In the face of reports of at least nine sexual assaults in Sanfermin, the message of the Feminist Movement has been clear: “You have a party with us, the attackers out!” The concern and focus are on men: “The problem is not the institutions, the feminist movement and much less the women who suffer the aggressions. They are men who constantly attack us.” They have therefore called for the defence of the aggressors and for abandoning a culture that calls women into question.

In this regard, they stressed that women "have the right to live freely". They added that in order to guarantee this, men must have an “active attitude” against the aggressions: “We ask men to stop attacking. We are here for you, because you continually attack us.”

Every year there is a purple spot in the Plaza del Castillo, in line with guaranteeing women’s rights. The aim is to advise, inform and raise awareness of the aggressions. In addition, it is a space to denounce the aggressions that have taken place in the Ertzaintza. The space is open during the holidays, from 11:30 to 15:00 and from 18:00 to 00:00 hours. In addition to the lila point, you can also call 660344692 to denounce the aggressions that have occurred in the Basque Country.
