- This Monday, a new session of the Spanish National High Court trial for homicide has been held. The defendants Saioa Agirre and Naia Zuriarrain were subjected to the Istanbul Protocol by psychologists Olatz Barrenetxea and Haizea de la Llosa.
In the session this Monday morning, several experts at the Madrid Hearing have declared. On the part of the accusations, police specializing in fingerprints and graphics have taken the word in the DNA tests. Psychologists Olatz Barrenetxea and Haizea de la Llosa participated in defence. Barrenetxea was a psychologist from Agirre and Llosa Zuriarrain. Each of them has assured that the torture reported by the defendants corresponds to their symptoms and that torture is not guaranteed. Agirre and Zuriarrain were subjected to the Istanbul Protocol, the main international reference for demonstrating the truthfulness of torture. Zuriarrain also passed the protocol within the research of the Basque Government.

The next session of the 13/13 trial is scheduled for 29 October and 3 and 4 November.
