  • Forbes magazine has published the list of the 100 largest estates in the Spanish State and a Donostiarra appears in the Top 10: Businessman Daniel Mate. Mate, who until recently was part of the management of the multinational mining company Glencore, was also a manager of the Asturian company of Zinc in Asturias. According to Forbes, the planet’s heritage amounts to more than EUR 2.2 billion. It is the first Basque on the list and the tenth on the list. It has been among the top 20 in the list in recent years, but the sharp increase in the prices of industrial raw materials has meant that Glenco’s shares are worth EUR 1 billion more than in 2020.
