Sorrento congratulates the families that have enrolled the children in the D model and welcomes the extension of the Basque language line of Allo, Olite and Antzin; in any case, in the Basque language offer, it is believed that in some cases even "small steps" have not been taken: "When the government of change was introduced, when it speaks or when we talk about Basque, both from the administration and from the dialect, the need to take small steps is emphasized again and again. Small steps, yes, but you have to take those steps," said Sergio Iribarren of Sor.

Expand Model D before School Closes

For example, in Zosofelun and Peralta, four and five applications have been made for children to learn Basque, respectively; in any case, the Government of Navarre has not implemented a D model, which means that even if more children enroll in Basque in the coming year, they will not be able to learn Basque.

This is exactly what happened in Mendigoria, where last year eight families registered and this year five more. If the Department of Education had considered this demand, there would already be a center and thirteen students. He didn’t do that, though. Creando complains about the "violation of the rights that it represents for the inhabitants of the town".

For this reason, the Society of Creation calls for: He says that the "path taken in ancient times" must be followed: before the school closes, the D model must be expanded so that students from small towns in the area can leave.

Pre-registration campaign is not enough

In carrying out the analysis of pre-registration, the representative of the association Creando, Sergio Iribarren, takes note of the registration campaign and admits that it has "little impact". “We know that a simple community campaign doesn’t have much impact on families enrolling their children in one model or another. We need to build strong momentum throughout the year.”

Iribarren has welcomed the three new schools opened by Concepción, saying that “every line of Model D that extends is an open crack in the wall of the Vascuencea Law.”There was a request on the table: "Navarre in the 21st century. To look to the century", that is, "to overcome the laws of previous times" and "to leave behind the obstacles placed in the Basque language".

Wind project to support the south

To this end, the Association of Creators presented the project this morning: The wind. The wind. Thanks to this, part of the economic benefit of the party that will be held on May 21 in Pamplona will be channeled to support the new D model lines located in the disiriminated area of Navarre.

"We miss an investment and, in this sense, we have decided, on our own, to strengthen and support those D lines that will be deployed in the discriminated area of Navarre in the next academic year, and in some way represent the welcome of these people," said the participant of the Jungle Beloki Concepción.

The Haizea project has four objectives: to "promote" the use of Basque among families, to create spaces for work in the neighborhood between schools, to make a "qualitative leap" in the pre-registration campaign and to "strengthen the mobilizing dynamics to support and congratulate families".
