- CCOO, ESK, UGT, LAB and CSIF trade unions denounce the deterioration of the postal service of Correos de Bizkaia and the lack of measures by the management. They have also put on the table the "mistreatment" of workers and the "deterioration of working conditions" they suffer from lack of staff. Mobilisations have been initiated to inform citizens of the situation and to support a quality postal service.
The unions represented in Correos de Bizkaia denounce the deterioration of the postal service offered by Correos: CCOO, ESK, UGT, LAB and CSIF. They denounce that, due to lack of staff, thousands of shipments remain undistributed every day and that the Post Office takes no action to deal with the situation.
According to the trade unions, the deterioration of the service is due to a "tremendous" reduction in recruitment, an "increase" in precariousness and non-compliance with structural vacancies, medical leave and other contingencies that occur daily in the workforce. They have also denounced the "mistreatment" of workers and the "worsening working conditions" they suffer daily due to lack of staff has led to an "increase" in the number of casualties due to stress and anxiety.
After requesting a meeting with managers from different work areas, mobilizations have been initiated to inform citizens about the "precarious situation" in Correos. The demonstrations were held on Tuesday and Wednesday.
