The museum closed in 2011 due to the economic crisis and the lack of institutional support for the opening of the museum. Since then, many cultural events have been held and visits have also been received, but only limited and with prior appointment. The agreement signed in 2017 with the Swiss gallery Houser & Wirth will open its doors in April, at a date yet to be determined.
