Immersed in the assembly are in the Txosnas of Vitoria-Gasteiz, a meeting point of the popular movement, only three days from the beginning of the festivities. After two years of stalling, the txosnas will begin this year on August 4 with the reign.

This year there will be seven txosnas, two tents and a common tent on the campus of Vitoria-Gasteiz. In addition to the two main spaces (Enchosnar the tent and the main stage), the rest of txosnas and tents will have their own programming. Although the tramway works have affected the organization of the space, the university campus has been maintained.

As usual, every day will have a ‘special character’. August 8 is celebrated, among other events, Enchosnation Day. The committee of txosnas explained that this day, after two years, will be 'an opportunity to regroup the different agents of the popular movements'. This year, for the first time, Enchosnation Day will begin in the Casco Viejo at 12:00 hours with the show "Irrien Lagunak", followed by a marianitada and a meal. Lunch will be made with Alavese organic products. Spectacle and txosnibus of the Mago Txan, then “to continue enjoying the txosnagunea”.

Reusable and recyclable vessels will be used in the txosnagunea enclosure. The Txosna Commission wants to strengthen its commitment to organic products and food sovereignty, and this year it sells beer produced by the recently established Internal Food Network of Vitoria.

The Mirentxin Collective will receive the txosnisari of 2022

The Txosnas of Vitoria-Gasteiz, 42 years old, have also announced the arrival of the Txosnisaria to the Mirentxin Collective. The group of guides which brought the relatives of the Basque political prisoners to the prisons has ended their journey, creating, over the years, complicity over miles. As the members of the txosnas committee have explained, ‘in the Mirentxin vans over all these years it has been clear that the main protagonists are relatives and friends of the prisoners, but now, after thousands of kilometres of love, we believe it is time to thank this agent as well’.

They have also recalled that in the Txosnas of Vitoria-Gasteiz they want a txosnagunea without prisoners and that they will demand it in the pasacalles to be held on 5 August and the day of solidarity.

Aggression-free space

In Txosnagunea, the agents reaffirm their clear commitment to the festive model “Basque, plural, participative and popular” and claim that it is a space free of machian aggressions. The txosnas will endorse the protocol of the Vitoria-Gasteiz Feminist Movement against the Macho aggressions and call on the phone number of the Feminist Movement to denounce the aggressions: 747 41 48 34.
