With the support of the unions LAB, ELA and ESK, the workers of Simply in Bizkaia have left the street on Wednesday and will do so on Friday. The demonstration on Wednesday started from the Plaza Zabalburu in Bilbao, made up of hundreds of people. In addition, they have announced partial part-sessions of the whole day during the strike day. The workers affirm that the supermarket entrepreneurs “look the other way”, without meeting the demands of the latter.

In this regard, they have denounced that the pace of work is made "unbearable" due to the shortage of personnel. What is more, they say that rest is not enough. In this sense, they have emphasized that this has led them to lose their health and create "difficulties" to reconcile work and life.

They have been demanding investment for years, because the resources to work are not enough. In addition, there has also been talk of cleaners: “They have made their jobs disappear and now we have to take care of cleaning, leaving less staff in the other departments.” For all these reasons, the complaint is made aloud: “We are fed up with pressure, intolerable working rhythms and threats.”
