- On 22 May, 60 women* from different areas and generations of Bertsolarism were cited in Markina-Xemein. The initiative is organized by the Association of Bertsolarianism Fans of Bizkaia, with the aim of "knowing, getting inside and enjoying".
According to the media chronicle Bertsoa.eus, 60 women from different sectors and generations of the bertso world in Bizkaia met in Markina-Xemein at noon on Sunday: "retirees and young people just started", bertsolaris punteros, gaiteros, judges, fans of bertsolarism, organizers... The initiative, organised by the Association of Bertsolaris in Bizkaia, has been very pleased with the answer: "The people who felt eager to repeat and continue the initiative," said Ione Narbaiza, agent of the Association.
To enjoy, in verse
This year, instead of implementing a very ambitious programme, partnership and enjoyment have been prioritized. However, no verses were lacking. Twelve bertsolaris participated in the table: Maider Altuna, Iruri Altzerreka, Miren Amuriza, Janire Arrizabalaga, Josune Armendi, Izaro Bilbao, June Diaz, Onintza Enbeita, Nerea Ibarzabal, Aissa Intxausti, Enare Muniategi and Jone Uria Albizuri. And three rapporteurs: Maite Berriozabal, Ainhoa Urien and Maddi Zabalo.
