Provisionally canceled one of the two weekly trials of Vida Da Mayor
  • The agents of La Vida Da Más reported on Wednesday the holding of two trials in the National Court. On Thursday, the movements of the courts have been announced, which have suspended the one that was called for on 25 September. At the trial, which was to be held against two persons for the occupation of the public building for 15 years, Haizea Nuñez, a social movement lawyer, was charged and was sentenced to eight years in prison. On Monday morning, they maintain the concentration that has taken place before the courts in Egia.

Since Life Is Bigger they have explained what happened: "On Monday, defence lawyer Haize Núñez, who is currently charged with the case, asked the judge to annul the proceedings and file them on a subsidiary basis. The Bilbao Examining Court No. 2 has today reported that the trial will not be held until the defence has judicially resolved its request. The charge against the lawyer can therefore be suspended in the coming weeks."

On Monday, another trial

One of them has been delayed, so the other will be strong, as they have announced. "This Monday, at 9:30 a.m. in Donostia-San Sebastian, we will make an appointment to the Egia Court in support of the two people who were arrested for demonstrating peacefully and legitimately at the time the UNWTO was transferred to Donostia-San Sebastian," they say.

On Wednesday afternoon a photo of solidarity was made in Tabakalera convened by these movements. On the spot, the two arrested have reported that the Ertzaintza has made "absolutely false accusations" against them, including that of causing injury to agents.

The two people were arrested when the agents started pushing them and threw them to the ground. "We should not be ashamed that these accusations are free for two people who did nothing about it. A message to people who want to judge by their participation in absolutely legitimate social protests: we are with you," they say. On the contrary, they sent a message to those who call the "Basque Regime": "We do not agree at all with the situation we are experiencing at the moment. If you attack someone, you will attack us all. We citizens defend each other."
