On October 10, through social networks, the Housing Union of the Casco Viejo de Bilbao, AZET, announced the risk of eviction of a family. According to public information from the union, the Municipal Housing of Bilbao ordered eviction on October 19, as a family living in Calle Cortes del barrio de San Francisco and running the risk of staying in the street.

According to the foregoing, the family has been living in the same house for twelve years, and a few years ago they were indebted for the impossibility of paying payments. An agreement was reached with Municipal Housing for the cancellation of the debt, agreeing on the "payment commitment". Since the entry into force of this agreement, the family has paid a monthly share of the debt, but in summer they received the eviction order. Together with the judicial notification, they were informed that the agreement did not paralyse eviction because it was a debt rather than a eviction.

"Once again you will find us together and organized." With this statement, the AZET trade union expressed its intention to paralyse the eviction. On 15 October, it was reported that the eviction had been suspended: "Thanks to the union work we have managed to withdraw the request for eviction from Municipal Housing. Carmen and her family stay in the neighborhood! Organization is our only guarantee of survival."
