Following the decision of the Bilbao Holiday Commission not to hold a party this year, Bilboko Konpartsak announced that he will prepare a local programme for Bilbao to "regain its smile". The program was due on Friday and was scheduled for the last week of August, from 25 to 29 August.

According to EiTB, the mayor of Bilbao, Juan Mari Aburto, has assured that he will not authorize most acts. Aburto has stated that the City Hall will not tolerate situations of congestion and congestion and has warned that the "anti-civic" attitudes towards which one acts in this municipality "are zero tolerance".

"In Bilbao this year there is no Aste Nagusia or festival," said Aburto, who recalled that the program of comparsas, instead of "a cluster of activities", is "a clear alternative" to Aste Nagusia. Therefore, as he has anticipated, the Consistory will only authorise five acts of the programme that Bilboko Konpartsak was to publish on Friday: "A children's show in Plaza Nueva, children's workshops in Plaza del Gas, role-playing games and a radio marathon in Tingladueta and frog and tummy games in Plaza del Arriaga".
