On Thursday, November 4, 20 anti-militarist activists met in Madrid to participate in the action of the collective Desarma Madrid. Objective: Condemn the International Defence and Security Fair (FEINDEF, International Defence and Security Fair) held in Madrid from 3 to 5 November and denounce the suffering caused by the war business. In particular, they pointed out that weapons displayed and sold on the market in war-stricken countries lead to death and suffering.

Activists threw hooded objects such as clothing, suitcases, plugs, bottles or banknotes at the fair to stage the massacre provoked by wars and migration processes. In addition, a number of painful situations caused by the war were quietly staged, and several banners were displayed in which one could read. "The war starts here, let's stop here," "not to the arms fair," or "the genocide of the Kurds begins here."

The action resulted in the arrest of 14 persons, two of them members of the anti-militarist organization KEM-MOC, of Moroccan nationality, in Bilbao. They were taken to the police station for identification and, in a matter of hours, released. According to El Salto, a proposal for a sanction has been made against eight of those arrested for disobedience to the authority. KEM-MOC believes that fines will be imposed on them in application of the Morbid Law and the Law of Transitoriness.

FEINDEF, one of the largest arms trade shows in the world, has been held for the third time in Madrid.
