"32 schools in Bilbao have a games room less than 100 meters"
- “Because we are more and more neighborhoods free from gambling and we know that we will only win by taking the streets”, on Friday the Eragin association of Bilbao has called a demonstration “until the betting houses are closed”.
Eragin has been fighting betting houses for two years. At a press conference on Tuesday morning, the association pointed out that this fight "is bearing fruit". “More and more of us see these companies as a scourge for young people and for the working class in general.”
In Bilbao they added that the situation is untenable: “Zabalburu has four rooms of this kind, Deusto with five, Rekalde with four, Santutxu with four others… and 32 schools in Bilbao have a games room 100 meters or closer.”
The demonstration will start on Friday at 19:30 in the afternoon of Zabalburu and end in Rekalde Square.
