The Department of Security of the Basque Government has reported that two traffic accidents have occurred. The first event occurred in the morning in a pine grove in Aizarna, in the village of Zestoa. The tree fell on the forest-sector worker. He is a 50-year-old man who worked for the company Haitz Beltz, who has been transferred to Donostia Hospital.

The second accident took place in the Gipuzkoan town of Zarautz in the afternoon. A construction worker in the Añorbe district fell from the crane, at a height of 30 meters. After the accident, the crane also fell, causing injuries to a second worker, who was taken to the hospital. The deceased, a 32-year-old neighbor of Zumarraga, was working for the company Gruas Pingon, who has been arrested.

According to the LAB union, eighteen workers have died in an occupational accident in Euskal Herria this year.
