1. We put our son in the stroller and we went around to take some air. So in front of the Chinese bazaar on the corner, I saw two Chinese children between six and ten years old playing soccer with a ball. They were apparently the children of a bazaar worker. I was glad of this scene, and I thought, “Some say that although today’s children are thousands of toys, they are not happy with living. However, these two, like us as infants, have a plastic ball to be happy.” Suddenly, a man approached them and insulted them and managed very violently. In the face of Darcy's hate gaze, you could see his little brother's face of fear and tears. Although the two children ran inside the bazaar, the man continued to curse them down the street. Even when he walked away, he turned his eyes back and remained the same…
- Who did those two kids who played with the ball hurt? What was his fault? Maybe they were children of Chinese?
I couldn't believe what was going on. Joy, a few seconds earlier, invaded me with a fog of sadness. What was the reason for their conduct? Who did those two kids who played with the ball hurt? What was his fault? Maybe they're kids of Chinese? The two children only went outside when they saw that the man had walked a little away. And again I let them play with the ball.
2nd I continued my walk, unable to forget what I had seen. We passed the bridge to the center, and after putting the light green, we began to pass the zebra crossing next to a woman who was with three children. Suddenly, a big car passed at full speed, almost beating his wife and children. The traffic light was in red for cars. My wife and I screamed at the driver, but none of those around me said anything, I did nothing. Everyone was silent, as if nothing had happened. The car was about to kill an adult and three children.
Indeed, it wasn't just any car. It was just a big, shiny luxury car. A few meters from there was the one who was left out of the elegant five star hotel. Inside came two men in a suit and two women in a sleek dress, passed the car keys to the hotel employee who was waiting for them and went up the carpet at the entrance, with a raised neck, between the looks of admiration and envy of those around him.
I hate the children of Chinese workers. Tribute to the rich who caused the death of almost three children. Some, without doing anything wrong, always in the spotlight. Others, however strong their acts may be, are always forgiven and all.
"There may be many complex issues behind all this attitude (labor rights, immigration, integration, prejudices, fear of the different…), of tip and tip, but it is clear that something we are doing wrong"
There may be many complex issues behind this whole attitude (labour rights, immigration, integration, prejudices, fear of the different…), of tip and edge, but it is clear that something we are doing wrong. I often hear comments against those who work and work most hours of the day to earn a living, as they are of Arab or Asian origin. However, I hear much less criticism of right-wing party leaders bursting with corruption or business associations fighting against workers’ rights.
They want to sell us that the working class, the proletariat, the society by class -- these are negligible things about the remote past. Expired claims are failed theories. That today there is no social class, or if there is, that we are all middle-class. I don't think so. The gap between the powerful and the others is becoming more and more evident. The future of 99% remains decided by 1%. There is nothing else to look around: the precarious working conditions, the terrible numbers of deaths at work, the delay in the retirement age, the expropriation of homes… Are the Txinois workers or the Pakistanis also responsible and guilty? Really?
Facing the working class. That's the strategy of that 1 percent to keep their unfair luxury, their privileges and their power. It is not a new tactic, but I would say it is succeeding. Because sometimes I think ours is also an increasingly racist, xenophobic and right-wing society. The easiest thing is to fight those who are even more trampled on than we are. But that's not going to solve anything, because they're not responsible for our problems.
Perhaps the first step towards building a society of the future based on equality, justice, peace and well-being for all and all is to remove dust from the books of the past and become class conscious.
“There is no democracy possible in a class-based society.”
