The two men are alleged to have been victims of a homophobic attack in the Old Town of Bilbao last Friday night. Both of them had to be treated at the Hospital de las Cruces for the injuries they suffered.

Both of them filed a physical complaint and the police are investigating what has already happened.

The Bilbao City Council expresses its strongest rejection of the homophobic attack, while at the same time expressing its support and solidarity with the relatives, friends and relatives of the person attacked. In addition, it has shown its commitment to provide all the resources necessary to eradicate this type of event from our society and it urges all citizens not to be complicit in any violence against the LGTBIQ+ community.
