Adrián Almazán: Degree in Physics and PhD in Philosophy from the Autonomous University of Madrid, member of Ekologistak Martxan, Energy crisis and false solutions. Esperanza Ursua: PhD in Biology. Defense of biodiversity, defense of life.
The days have been organized by the Coordinadora de Platforms de Pueblos y Valles Navarros affected by the Solar and Wind Polygons, and include Anue, Cendea de Olza, Cendea de Iza, Cendea de Iza, Cendea de Cizur, Egüés Valley, Valle de Erro, Valle de Etesterarte, Txapain oz.
Concentrations in the Navarra Arena
As explained by the Coordinator, the “2nd Congress of Industry for the Ecological Transition will be held in Navarre on 6 and 7 October. It is an International Congress that aims to give a new vision of it. In the two days mentioned, they have also called for the concentrations to be held in front of Navarre at the opening and closing ceremonies. 6 October, from 8:30 to 10:00 in the morning and 7 October, from 17:30 to 20:00.
It is clear to the Coordinator that all citizens must be involved in the energy transition: “It’s not just about replacing oil with renewables.” They have also specified what kind of action is needed: Define energy needs, reduce energy demand, consume as much energy as possible, involve urban and industrial centres in energy production, ensure universal access to a social good such as energy, transform the models of mobility, agriculture, livestock and industry and reconcile energy production with the conservation of fertile soil, biodiversity and cultural heritage. They have summed up with a round sentence what they mean: “The cart cannot go ahead of the oxen and the energy oligopoly cannot lead the energy transition.”
