Green, orange and red, deescalation colors in the French state
  • The Prime Minister of the State has announced that, from next Monday, there will be de-confinement in the French State and has added that de-confinement will be carried out gradually, “slowly but surely”. Green, orange or red, depending on the color attached to the apartment, the deescalation will be faster or slower.

“It is good news that we can allow decontainment throughout the territory. Not so good news, that in some departments the results are not expected,” the Prime Minister acknowledged. In determining the colour of each department, a number of criteria will be taken into account in relation to the circulation of the virus, the capacity of local hospitals and the ability to test. Accordingly, the exit permit will be reduced to a greater or lesser extent.

If you keep the green, in June, maybe you can open coffee shops and restaurants.

In the departments that are able to stay green for the next three weeks, “at the beginning of June they will be able to start a new phase and perhaps open schools, cafes and high school restaurants.” Maintaining green means that hospitals are able to respond to existing needs and that the territory is ready for testing, among other things.

In red, parks and gardens closed

In the red departments, even if decontainment begins, the restrictions will be more severe and, for example, schools, parks and gardens cannot be opened. Being red means that the virus still circulates actively and that the pressure has not been relaxed enough in hospitals. On Wednesday night there were still 27 red apartments.

The apartments that meet the criteria halfway have orange color.
