Although from time to time some treguas were offered, time made things very difficult for the Behobia-San Sebastián corridors. The 27,000 runners who completed the 20 kilometers of the test had to cope with the rain, wind and hail along the route, and the handicap had to be endured until they crossed the finish line.

Fortunately, on both sides of the road, it was possible to feel the warmth of the support cries and applause of thousands of people, and although the wind broke several umbrellas, the neighbors continued to accompany them to the end.
