Provisional prison for journalist Pablo González in Poland
  • The couple of Pablo González, resident in the Basque Country, has been sent to his home by the Polish authorities, according to the local newspaper El País. It is reported in a few lines that the journalist has been sentenced to pre-trial detention until 29 May.

For the first time, the Polish authorities have contacted directly the family of González, which has been communicated on all occasions through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On 28 February he was arrested in Poland, and neither his family nor lawyer Gonzalo Boyé have been able to talk to him yet in the country. On 7 March the Consulate of the city of Rzestó met him and stated that he saw him with humor and good humor, always claiming his innocence.

In its letter dated 3 March, it is stated that the provisional arrest warrant has been issued by the Regional Court of Rzesó and is in the prison of that city. In the paper it is related to pseudonyms González Aleksey Rubtsov and Pavel Rubtsov, who are accused of spying activities. According to the family, these names are related to the name and surname of the journalist's parents.
