“There is no consensus today on taking responsibility and sending troops officially and in an assumed manner. But from now on, we should not rule out anything. We will do everything we can to ensure that Russia does not win that war,” Macron’s statements in answering a journalist’s question. However, immediate reactions have made it clear that this is not the official position of NATO. Tuesday confirms your statement.

It's not new for Macron to make statements that don't talk to his environment. Mark Rutt, Dutch Prime Minister, wanted to clarify that NATO’s intervention was not on the meeting’s dates.

Ukraine’s victory has been described as fundamental to the “sustainability of Europe” and, once again, its support has been total.

Consensus: a new coalition to support the arms industry

The Heads of State decide to create a coalition for sending medium- and long-range missiles. In addition, Macron clarifies that they have “consensus” on five issues: “cyberdefence”, “co-construction of weapons”, the defence of peoples at risk by the war in Ukraine (e.g. Moldova), the defence of Ukraine on the border with Belarus “non-military” and support in demining operations.
