The pedagogical project Hik Hasi and the Hernani City Hall (Gipuzkoa) presented the second call for the Joxe Mari Auzmendi Education Grant on Wednesday. Unlike the first call, it will focus on pedagogical improvement and research. Hik Hasi’s agent, Aioa Azpirotz, has pointed out that the main objectives are “to give a handle and provide a framework” to the centres that “are in the process of transformation” or want to start.
Mikel Agirrezabala Hik, head of Hasi training, also gave details of the second call: “Once the study and analysis have been carried out that responds to the needs of the centers, we want to propose the theoretical and methodological bases that help in the transformation process.” Thus, an “indicative”, suggestive and practical roadmap for schools will be proposed.
In short, the project is aimed at researchers, research groups, pedagogues, groups of educators or universities working on “educational improvement” in the Basque Country. Any proposal must be made before 1 December 2023 and the Court, after a detailed analysis of the work, shall communicate the project awarded on 8 January. The winner will receive €12,000.
Success of the first
The first call included other values. In essence, Joxe Mari Auzmendi focused on four concrete values worked throughout life: pedagogical improvement, the Basque Country and the Basque culture, the educational people and inclusion. Agirrezabala has announced that it has yielded “fruitful results” and that it has been “dumped” in the schools of different peoples.
