On 15 May, vocational training centres have received new instructions from the CAPV Department of Education: “In relation to the implementation of the Training in Work Centers module, and since it is not carried out in the educational center, we establish the following guidelines: 1- We maintain our initial approach to addressing Workplace Training on Monday, May 18, 2020.” The Steilas trade union has denounced that the measures and obligations deriving from the Royal Decree demonstrate that as long as in-person education is not allowed, training periods in the workplace cannot be completed.
Steilas reported that the circular of the Department of Education of 20 April stated that "until the start of classroom teaching is authorised, there will be no training in the workplace". The union asks: At present, when classroom teaching is not possible, how can the Department of Education send students to the workplaces when they violate the Royal Decree and the instructions prepared by them? Steilas has asked the Department of Education, Universities and Research to end this instruction.
