Last year, the Durango Fair was completely virtual, and Landako Gunea became a distribution center these December days. The president of Gerediaga, Nera Mujika, has announced that the stands will return even if there are doubts about the nature of the fair for this year. Details have been announced at a press conference in Durango, Bizkaia. Along with this, they have presented the poster of the artist Leire Urbeltz, who wanted to make a review of the imaginary of the 1960s in remembrance of his early years.

The 56 edition will run from 3 to 8 December. Durango Fair: From 3 to 7 durangokoazoka.eus purchases can be made in www.ticketea.com, and from 4 to 8, instead, you can go to a more usual fair. According to Mujika, more than 220 exhibitors will be installed and the spaces Ahotsenea, Irudienea, Kabi@, Saguganbara and Szenatokia will also return. However, they have pointed out that later on, the capacities and health measures to be followed will be realized.

Classroom activities

Classroom activities and actions will also return this year to the pre-pandemic format. In addition, both the Ahotsenea direct and the proceedings of the Main Hall will also be able to follow through the website. The deadline for submitting proposals to participate in the programme of the Durango Fair will be opened on 8 October. Artists wishing to present their works at Ahotsenea must register on ETB2’s website ahotsenea.eus as of Friday. The only requirement to participate is to have a record or book published in 2021, but organisers will take into account the territorial and gender balance when drawing up the programme.
