Navarre has 61% more flu vaccination than in previous years
- More than 145,000 people have been given the flu in Navarre in the first month of the campaign, 61% more than those who have been vaccinated in the same period in previous years. Among vaccinees, 85,000 people are over 65 years of age.
The Department of Health of Navarra last year had 126,000 doses of vaccine, while for this year it had 270,000. This year the Government of Navarre has strengthened the Internet and telephone service to respond to the increased demand for vaccination received in the first few weeks. From now on, citizens will have to call health centers to submit the request, as in previous years.
If among those over 65 years old the vaccinees reached 95,000, in Navarra 75% of this age group would be vaccinated.
