Complete the week of theater: What Artedram organizes in Aulesti offers anyone the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the world of theatre. On the one hand, from Monday to Saturday, debates, promoting knowledge and exchange among those who work in the performing arts of the Basque Country. On the other hand, offering top theater programming every day.
As for the training offered by the Artedrama Basque Laboratory (ADEL), this year it will be carried out by seven teachers and the enrolment has exceeded the best expectations, covering all the places offered.
The citation of Aulesti attracts the interest of
more and more theater lovers: all the places for this year’s ADEL courses have been filled
Ander Lipus, who has been one of the main promoters of the initiative since the beginning of the Aulesti laboratory, will be among the teachers. This year it will offer the course “Dance of the Actor”, with teamwork and the autonomy of the actor as the main line, an eight-hour training that aims to deepen the techniques for the actors.
Bodies and texts in the game
Along with him, many other long-time playwrights: Aiora Sedano will work through the course “Here and now” on how to put aside the thought, that judge that we carry inside; how to accept failures, how to concentrate on the group, communication and play.
Ways of transforming texts into bodies will also be addressed in the ADEL courses. Oier Guillán and Javier Barandiarán in the course “Corps involved” will dynamize their attempts to create poetic physical images from short texts written by themselves, interspersing the imaginary linked to performance, collective writing and elements of visual poetry.
Once again, the course will be led by Pako Revueltas (“The Organization on the Scene. Playing with texts”), it will ask how to get in touch with the theatrical texts and the people who have them in their hands. The aim of the course is to play with the texts, explore the possibilities of staging them and try to do different things.
Cultivating vitality and movement
This year’s ADEL will also include two courses that place capital letters in the physical area: Through the course “Imbalance”, Iraitz Lizarraga will help participants to find strategies to make the body appear alive in the scene, promoting research and experimentation, as well as sharing the conclusions drawn from these attempts.
The Mizel Théret course will finally focus on dance with few movements and gestures. “Dancing alone, without feeling alone” is the name of the formation that will offer its name and will be completed around a minimalist internal dance, with the ultimate aim of seeking the freedom of the actress.
