On Monday COVID-19 left 188 new cases in Hegoalde: 90 in the CAV and 98 in Navarra
  • The new outbreak of COVID-19 in Hego Euskal Herria does not seem to be losing strength, at least if you look at the data you have left on Monday. Following the coronavirus exit on Friday there have been 155 new cases, 256 on Saturday and 165 on Sunday, 188 new cases have been accumulated on Monday. In the CAV, the infections have decreased, but in Navarre there has been a dramatic increase in cases.

After the Red Weekend, on Monday the number of infections in the CAV decreased, but on the contrary, it has risen significantly in Navarre. The CAV has known 90 new cases of COVID-19 in these 24 hours, distributed as follows:

- In Álava 5: In Vitoria 3 and in Llodio 2

- In Bizkaia 63: 21 in Bilbao, 13 in Ermua, 4 in Barakaldo, Bermeo and Muxika, 3 in Abadiño, 2 in Durango, Galdakao and Sestao, and 1 in Berango, Forua, Santurtzi and Zornotza.

- In Gipuzkoa 20: 10 in Eibar, 3 in Deba and Elgoibar, 2 in Zarautz and 1 in Beasain and Ordizia.

The R0 or Rt index that estimates a person's possible infections is 2.13, slightly below 2.21.

In Navarre, on the other hand, the figures for Sunday have almost doubled, reaching Monday 98 (compared to data from previous days: Friday 40, Saturday 59, Sunday 51). According to the Navarre authorities, of the 98 new additions of yesterday 22 correspond to a bat of people in the Casco Viejo de Pamplona/Iruña that occurred on the eve of San Fermín and another 11 to a campsite in Zarautz, although it is called the Mendillorri focus.

The positive data of the day is repeated in the number of deaths: 0 deaths in Hegoalde this Monday.
