On Tuesday COVID-19 left 241 new cases in Hegoalde: 111 in the CAV and 130 in Navarra
  • The July coronavirus outbreak does not stop: In Hegoalde, 241 new positive PCR tests performed on Tuesday were detected, of which 111 were in the CAV and 130 in Navarra. COVID-19 continues with the heat of previous days, as there were 155 new cases on Friday, 256 on Saturday, 165 on Sunday and 188 on Monday.

PCR tests conducted this Monday at the CAV have left 111 new positive (90 on the eve). Distributed as follows:

- In Álava 7: Vitoria-Gasteiz 6 and Llodio 1.

- Bizkaia 67: In Ermua 28 (121 in a week), in Bilbao 14 (107), in Barakaldo 5 (22), in Basauri and Lemoa 3, in Galdakao and Portugalete 2 and one in Abadiño, Durango, Getxo, Santurtzi, Orduña, Trapagaran, Zaldibar and Amorebieta.

- In Gipuzkoa 37: 14 in Eibar (94 in a week), 5 in Deba, 4 in Ordizia, Aretxabaleta, Orio, Soraluze and 2 in Zarautz (66) and 1 in Andoain, Arrasate, Bergara, Donostia (23), Lazkao and Mutriku.

The R0 or Rt rate that represents the COVID-19 regeneration rate today is 1.71 (yesterday was 2.13).

The authorities of Navarre have reported that 130 new positive PCR tests in this territory were detected this Tuesday. The Minister of Health, Santos Indurain, has spoken without hesitation: "Cases are constantly multiplying. On 18 July there were 40 new cases, on 19 July 59, on 20 July 51, on 21 July 98 and today 130. The upward trend is evident."

80% of the cases have been detected in the region of Pamplona/Iruña, "in a familiar or, above all, nocturnal environment in which people are very young and have close relationships". Half of the 130 cases are young people between the ages of 15 and 30. The Government of Navarre has reintegrated the Pamplona district of Mendillorri into the post-confinement phase 2 and will carry out the PCR test at all 17 and 28 years of age.
