We should forget the word sin. How many fears, worries, anguish, absences and anxieties and sins! Good deeds and evil deeds; prizes and punishments; heaven and hell; finally, sin among all.

Holy Week that takes away sin. I lived Easter from a very early age and I still remember those tortuous black skies of that spring, thunder and lightning in the sky and strong pupil shoots like thunder. And what? Sin up and sin down in the violent words of the sermoilist. Nobody slept. Fear predominated. But I also have to say that I remember a lot with the melodies of the songs of Easter, they were truly beautiful, like “Damu det Jauna…”.

And it is that in Holy Week the passion and resurrection of Jesus Christ is celebrated and the world comes to liberate man Jesus from sin. That is what the gospels say. This account has its historical and mythical aspects, which the latter can only understand faith. Today, most researchers recognize that a Jesus of Nazareth lived in Palestine and was killed on the cross by the Romans. But this story also has it from mythology. The only son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, was sent to save man from his sins and for this he had to suffer a brutal death that was shot three days. In nearby cultures there are also similar mythical stories that we should place in that environment. Jesus was not killed to forgive our sins, but because, with a committed and critical life, the priestly power made them nervous and the latter, with the help of the Romans, decided to remove themselves from it. Only the Basque Jesuit Ignacio Ellacuria, murdered in El Salvador, comes to mind…

Sin brings us to ancestral things. As Adam and Eve lived in paradise, they ate a fruit forbidden by God, God was a disobedience against him and there became the first mortal sin. The mythical original sin. We seem to be born with that sin and because 2023 years ago Jesus saved us, it seems that baptization is enough to clean that sin. That's why when we were born we were baptized for the third day.

There are many kinds of sins on the orders of the Church, but we learned two: mortal and benial. Masturbation was a mortal sin and could not commune it. Stealing chocolate from her mother's kitchen closet was a reality, but that was also confessable.

There are no sins. If I said so, I said – one friend once said to me: “The Pope also told me that there are no inferences and that there is now no possibility of living in this world” – but everyone’s consciousness will know what is right and what is wrong. Sin produces guilt and sometimes until a person breaks his personality, his vital power and his creativity. The concept of sin has been and continues to be used mostly by Western religions, especially Catholic religions. In the name of sin there is a secret will to dominate people and their faculties, using religion as an excuse.

If sin is the desolation of God, we will have to know what God is that and what relationship we have with him. If it is God, far from us, which is in heaven, then he is there and I here. Therefore, being creator and omnipotent, I can easily discourage that God. This is a dualistic view. But, on the contrary, if God is also the “I am”, God cannot discourage God. If it is the essence of all that is God, everything is God's and I too, if I do something undesirable not will my inner self, but my mental self, the ego. Therefore, sin would be ignorance of the divinity we are, which cannot wish God. Apart from that mental self-awareness that evolution has given us and that we call myself, all people have within us a true existence. I call mental ego and often narcissism.

Now, when you drive the car, if you do something wrong, you'll be guilty, and don't say you've sinned to the Ertzaintza, asking for forgiveness, because that's not going to free you from the fine, as it happens when you confess in the church. You can also feel guilty.
