Kabaret de Bilbao is the home of humorist Ane Lindane, a “big bubble” to make political feminist and anti-fascist humor. There he organizes, along with Raquel Torres, open mic sessions for dissident women and sex, Despotorrop. “Whoever comes to see young humorists knows what it comes to. Many men harass when they see a feminist with a microphone, but dare not tell us anything,” he said.

Rather than transforming Mainstream, it prefers to strengthen dissident culture. However, it does not choke when playing in the field of the “enemy”, be it Twitter, ETB or a Madrid culture hall. He is interested in both provocation and fun, so when the public, far from laughing, becomes nervous, he feels that he has achieved his counter-hegemonic goal.

In his book Even potxola me (published by the media Zorrotz.eus) has developed the political reflections that usually work in their monologues: housing, motherhood, family, education, feminism, pseudosciences… and, of course, the limits of humor.

They promote the empowerment of women humorists through the Despotorrop project.

Yes, the goal is to discover and animate women with comic bis to get them on stage. Because it's hard for women to move forward. We all have tremendously ridiculous friends, with an immense flow to tell things. But when I propose to do monologues, they deny me. Hence one of my most viral monologues: that machismo causes constipation. It seems that women have more difficulty defecating due in part to hormonal variables, but also to cultural variables. I mean, refined, lean, lean women don't do gross things. So, even if I fall down, I'm not going to go into the bar bathroom because everybody will smell and know that I have a functional digestion apparatus. This tendency to maintain the mind causes chronic constipation.

On the phone he tells me you're interested in trying it as much as having fun. How do you understand provocation?

According to Ignatius Farray, cartoonists and humorists need to transgress borders. I find it natural, I find it hard to have a microphone in my hand and not to scandalize it. I would say that there is the real key to humor, the tension and the distension that comes from surprise. Even when they make you a magic trick, it makes you graceful because you didn't wait. But spectators of certain ideologies remain in a phase of tension because they feel attacked. In these cases, I also feel like I've won because I've broken something in his head.

Some feminists who have reflected on humor think that jokes should always go from the bottom up. Does this rule apply?

Yes, of course, at least I try. To do so, we have to be clear about where we are, because sometimes we don't realize that we're on top. That is very dangerous. For example, David Suárez ended up in court when a girl with Down syndrome ate her penis for throwing it in a joke. The plaintiffs wanted to protect people with Down syndrome, but they realized their suffering. Suárez explained that his intention was not to laugh at girls with Down syndrome, but those who were scandalized. I seem to have to mention a family member with intellectual disabilities, so I can say that this guy has to be free to make such a joke. We have to review our privileges to know where the limits of power are and where we are.

Today we talk a lot about the culture of cancillation. What should we do with the Machistan humorists?

Cancellation doesn't exist, it's a machista invention. David Suárez or Los Moranos have trouble making macho jokes, but they occupy the Campos Theatre. And the same goes for Stretching the Chewing Gum, which received criticism for making a transfobo program, but they have complied with BEC. When someone makes a machista, racist or LGBTBIphobic joke we should point it out. But above all we have to move away from mainstream. BEC or ETB are not my house, but the house of the enemy. If you pay me, I'm going because it's my job, but I'm clear that my goal is not to change your rules, but to destroy the hegemonic spaces. They do not fit in with the militant areas we created. That's our real revolution.

It is difficult to have so many axes of power present in the elaboration of humor?

I think we have to be careful with a concrete dynamic: to point out the language to delegitimize the speeches. Words are clothes that dress the message. It is easy to point out the clothes without taking into account the inside. We like the microphone to be wrong in the hand because we attribute power to it. For example, I compared in a bird that babies were for taste and bought dogs for taste. It was a way to talk, and I thought, “A landline will remind me that you don’t have to buy animals.” Bingo! I know, man! On the other hand, we must bear in mind that the meaning of words varies. I will be noted if I call an insurgent subnormal and not if I use imbecile or idiot, even if at the time they are also capable diagnoses.

Bertsolari Saioa Alkaiza tells us that more coherence is required for being left-handed and feminist…

I do not want to cause harm or harm to anyone. Well, the enemy does. From time to time I'm going to paw; tell me, I'm going to apologize and I'm going to try to learn. I believe that we are very much delegitimised among ourselves.

He makes jokes about the kidnapping of Ortega Lara. Does the historical distance allow us to make humor about a subject that has been painful?

These jokes are very old, when they kidnapped Ortega Lara, and it seems that today they cause discomfort. Power imposes the insurmountable limits of humor. When we didn't have power, we made these quiet jokes. I would say to the Abertzale Left: “Hey, you told me this joke at the txosna twenty years ago!” It is revolutionary to frivolize certain issues.

Another issue is abortion?

Yes, I think it is very important because it has been dramatically dramatized and because this excessive dramatization is symbolic male violence. When you abort, people give you condolences, and you feel good, you'd love to have some spiders. Then you think: “What’s wrong with me?” When the public misses the abortion block, I say: “I’m not going to change coma because it’s the message I want to convey.”

In the Kingdom of Spain, her humor can be described as a crime for insulting religious feelings. Does it make you unwell to end up in court?

I care a little bit. Milito since thirteen years old, and I have always accepted all the consequences of militancy. What does my mood offend your religious feelings? Your religious feelings insult my scientific knowledge. Once I Googled vascophobia, I found very few entries, many of them destined for my monologues. I want to make it clear that this reality exists, because many times when I point out Euskaphobia they do not take me seriously. When I met the Andalusian concept, I realized that it also happens to us. Our national oppression is based on treating tunnels as if we were. With regard to Euskera, the fear provoked by Euskera draws attention. Tell me a word, and oh, I don't understand you! Quiet! Nothing happens! When you separate flyers, people also get very nervous. Turn it around!

I want to ask you about virtual male violence against feminist women. We took ourselves seriously in Pikara Magazine. Is your intention to disable it through laughter?

Women in our day to day do statistically the most dangerous thing: to be a male partner, to be a father or brother, to be an elderly man… In summer I do self-esteem alone. “Isn’t it scary? They ask me. Well, I have a boyfriend, and I know that's more dangerous than just walking around the world. One of the four sexual attacks on women and girls occurs at home. My friends come home with a lot of fear at night. We have to be careful, but Bilbao is one of the safest cities in the world! To be free, we need to know where the real risk is. It is good to strengthen protection and fraternity, even on social networks, but fear limits our freedom on the streets and also on networks. It is true that from time to time the enemy goes beyond the limits of virtuality through threats, but in general, it is enough to turn off the mobile phone to stop that violence. So I'd rather have fun responding to the attacks. Sometimes I get angry, you can't imagine. There's a lot of noise on Twitter and it can be unbearable that they insult you so much. But it's easy: when my bird exceeds 2,000 reactions, it calms it.

Let us now talk about institutional violence. Precariousness is very present in their monologues. I believe that society is not very aware of the social control of the collection of subsidies.

Yes, it seems that collecting the RGI is a privilege. Listen, I'll have to do Youtube tutorials to teach them how to be poor! The reality is very different: it is difficult to receive the RGI, to start with, you need a census, they require you to live three years outside the family’s home… Once you charge it, they control all the expenses: you can’t go to the hairdresser, you can’t eat in restaurants, you can’t buy clothes or mobile phone… You are controlled by banking movements and social media publications. You cannot leave the Basque Autonomous Community. As if it were not enough, the Ertzaintza has begun to be sent home. When I had two roommates, I had to prove that they weren't my friends. That doesn't happen when you live with girls, or boys! You'll find it suspicious to upload a photo to social media hugging a guy.

It uses the slogan “Less batucation and more batucation”. For the first time I heard the rebel communists in Madrid. What is the problem with batukadas?

Firstly, batukadas are completely demobilizing; their noise does not allow slogans to be screamed. On the other hand, I have a great sensitivity to noise. Why do we accept the noise of the batucation and not that of the firecrackers? Maybe because firecrackers are weapons. Batukadas, for their part, have a peaceful character. As I said before, women and feminism have denied us the scope of violence. Feminism has also been a violent movement, but that has been silenced. Hegemonic feminism has prevailed, and pacifism is very good for the privileged.

He often cites Carmen de Maire, along with Les Luthiers and Miguel Noguera. Why does he claim?

“Last night I made a Basque with whom I was robbed.” It was a terrible poet! It breaks with everything: aesthetics, language… Hard humor seems wonderful to me and still scandalizes a lot.
