- The main novelty of Euskaraldia this year is the Arigunes: Spaces and groups created by associations, companies, businesses, entities and entities of the Basque Country to work in Basque. The representatives of Euskaraldia have announced that thousands of people have already been created.
The second edition of Euskaraldia will be held between 20 November and 4 December. They have explained that hundreds of companies and associations have participated in the creation of arigunes, driven by different reasons and motivations: some understand it as a continuation of the previous work, others have seen the opportunity to promote the use of Euskera.
In particular, over 500 associations have been registered and two types of arigunes created by them have been identified: 2,100 internal and 950 external borders.
The deadline for continuing to create arigunes and for the institutions to register is still open until 27 September. That month begins the registration season as ahobizi and belarriprest.
On the other hand, it also opens up the possibility of enrolling in the Popular Committees. In the first edition, the commissions were launched in 405 localities in the Basque Country and this year 324 have already registered.
