Vizcay insisted that between 2012 and 14 EUR 2.5 million were taken from Osasuna’s accounts and that a significant part was allocated to the purchase of items and to the payment of special allowances (incentives) to players.
According to journalist Joxerra Senar in Berria, two fictitious contracts were signed to justify the departures: one, in the 2012/13 seasons with Cristina Valencia and Albert Nolla, real estate agents of Tarragona, charged; and in the following season, to justify false invoices of 1.5 million, a fictitious contract was signed with the Portuguese company Flefield.
Pay to win or lose
As for the matches that were purchased by Osasuna’s management, the former manager has provided new data. In the 2012-13 season "400,000 euros were delivered to Getafe in Pamplona/Iruña for not winning Osasuna" and in the 2013-14 season € 250,000 were paid to the three Betis players charged. It was also agreed to pay Valladolid, Betis and Espanyol for winning the matches before teams that were direct rivals of Osasuna. Valladolid was paid 150,000 euros for winning the Deportivo de La Coruña and many others the Betis for winning the Celta de Vigo. As Vizcay explained, "all these economic outlets have been communicated and agreed upon in the Board of Directors of the entity".
Archanco denies the accusations
The former president of Osasuna Miguel Archanco acknowledged having paid Betis, but he said that this is the only case the club has. With regard to the money that has been taken out of the club's accounts, he said that in the documents in which it is suspected there is no signature and he added that sometimes decisions were made "at his expense".
