- PNV, PSE, Elkarrekin Podemos and EH Bildu have once again obtained a representative in Araba. The pp has won no seat against most of the polls and has been the big loser of the elections in this country.
The elections to the Congress of Deputies have left results similar to those of 28 April in Álava:
The PNV, with 40,127 votes (23.59%), followed by the PSE, with 37,325 votes (21.94%) and 27,992 votes (27,992 votes). We can, with 16.46% of the votes, get 27,364 votes, while EH Bildu, with 16.09% of the votes. Each party has obtained a representative in the Congress of Deputies.
EH Bildu's defeat of pp and triumph
The main question of the campaign was what party the fourth seat in the Upper Chamber would achieve. At first, the struggle was between pp and EH Bildu. Many of them predicted that EH Bildu would lose the seat obtained on 28 April in the Lower House. Maroto's absence from the list as he understood that he would deactivate the vote against and on the other hand, because it was hoped that the Alavese pp would take advantage of the state upward trend of the party. In the last week, the polls were sure to take the pp seat, and the fight for the E. They put it between Podemos and EH Bildu.
On the contrary, it was the pp who was left without a Member in the Upper Chamber. And EH Bildu makes more difference than April 28. Pp has risen both in votes (from 24,385 to 25,318) and as a percentage of votes (from 13.75 to 14.88%). But EH Bildu has risen more (from 24,747 to 27,364 in votes; from 13.95% to 16.09% in percent), and has earned more to pp than to pp.
Similarity with the 28 April elections
Nothing has changed in these elections with regard to the elections on 28 April, which took place in Catalonia. On April 28, the participation was 69.51%, this time 68.20%. Overall, the support received by each party has been very similar. Although not large, the biggest increase has occurred in EH Bildu (with just over 2,500 votes and 2% percent). The biggest decline, however, has been that of Citizens, which has fallen the most. If it had few forces after 28 April, it has virtually disappeared (from 7,082 to 2,504 votes). In the Spanish state, the neo-fascist party Vox, which has suffered a sharp upturn, has increased slightly (from 5,608 to 6,423). The pp, Citizens and VOX have lost almost 3,000 votes.
