After going through Amurrio and Zuia in recent years, this year the young Alavese will meet in Salvatierra on 3 July. As you have explained, "in the situation we are in, it makes it even more necessary for us to connect. In fact, there are thousands of obstacles to the development of social relations and the creation of spaces for debate. We claim that these spaces are essential. That is why we want these meetings to be a space from feminism and youth to reflect, debate, train, celebrate..."
They have also presented the programme. Various workshops will be held from 10:00 in the morning: Internal Health in times of pandemic, analyzing from Feminism the white privilege, for example, from the genealogy of the young + identity*. There will also be free time with a self-managed meal, a musical bingo, zumba and acoustic concerts. The concert will end at 19:30 in the afternoon, with the show "Mani musikatua".
At the first meetings, they stressed the need to bring together young women* from the country. On this occasion, too, they have explained that they are going to take a new step in the organization they carry out among themselves.
"Whoever hasn't tried it doesn't know what this is! Under the motto "Saretu, organizes, eragin", they have encouraged all young girls* to participate in the meeting and join the groups of girls*, "because not only is it necessary to organize themselves in them, but they are also a tool of collective empowerment".
Finally, they wanted to put on the table the difficulties that young women have had to organize themselves and carry out their political activities, so that "these meetings will be a project to deal with these difficulties".
