The platform formed by the unions ELA, LAB, CCOO, USO, ESK and CGT denounces that the employer SEA has arrived at the meeting held on 8 September without any attitude of solution. The employers have not made any proposals for an agreement between the two parties and have not yet agreed on an agreement for the renewal of the Álava metallurgical agreement. "Today, and despite the fact that in the meetings we have been working for four years, the decrease in working hours is not yet on the table, despite being the highest in Hego Euskal Herria. The CPI is not guaranteed for the duration of the agreement either," says LAB. Although they have talked about the decrease in working hours, there is nothing to propose in writing from the employers. In general, the trade unions ask the SEA to submit its proposals in writing.
In general, although there are some advances, the unions say they are "small". Thus, they have maintained the protests established: on 21, 22 and 23 September they will strike to demand a "dignified agreement" to ensure decent working conditions.
