It has been a success on Thursday by health staff in the rural Alavesa area, according to ELA. The union says “more than 80% of workers”. The call was made by the unions ELA, LAB, SATSE, SME, ESK, UGT, CCOO and SAE to denounce that Osakidetza is “sinking” both the health care and the conditions of the workers in the rural environment.

Among other things, they have asked Osakidetza and OSI Araba not to set up a rotation system, as reporter Gorka Peñagarikano stated in an earlier article. The workers denounce Osakidetza's intention to move from one centre to another according to needs: "This situation would mean eliminating the relationship between patients and the reference health staff. It will seriously harm the quality of care, in addition to infringing the rights of rural workers". Workers have been mobilizing and demanding for weeks and have received almost 60,000 signatures in favour of rural public health.
