The result was as follows:

- 67 premises (cafes, bars and restaurants). There are 26 premises with machines, sometimes more than one. In total, 33 machines.

- Wager at home, 21 machines.

- In total, in Azpeitia there are 54 betting machines.

The next step has been to get in touch with the bars that have their own machines in their premises. In recent days the members of Elkar-ekin have gone through different bars, publicizing the campaign we are carrying out and leaving a letter. The atmosphere of these talks has been very good.

Dear Hostelero in Azpeitia,

As you will know, the members of the Elkar-ekin group launched a dynamic against the betting house about a year ago.

In fact, we were very concerned about the consequences of opening such a site in our country. In times of crisis, the wager becomes the hope of those who are worst, to the point of losing everything in that despair, while the companies behind the betting houses raise money.

According to the latest data, 1 in 4 young people present symptoms of pathological gambling, the most serious consequences of which we have had the opportunity to meet in the first person, listening to the dark experiences of some people of our people.
