The motion tabled by the group Toma la Palabra proposes, on the one hand, to implement awareness-raising actions in the fight against gambling; and, on the other hand, to put more stringent urban conditions in the allocation of licenses to the halls so that they do not open near educational centers, cultural houses and other spaces where young people are grouped together.

Aware that sports betting has increased particularly among young people, the Valladolid City Hall wants to launch specific campaigns in schools. A number of proposals from the other parties have been added to the motion. The text also includes measures to limit the advertising and promotion of gambling dens and betting, as well as to allocate the profits made by companies in the sector to the treatment of "pathological gambling".
