The Administrative Tribunal No. 1 of Vitoria-Gasteiz issued a judgment this Friday morning. He says that there is no “preventive illegality” or “patrimonial right of municipal property” that, according to political discourse, allows denying the use of a place.

On 15 September last year, the Local Police of Vitoria-Gasteiz interrupted the talk organized by the AsCATetara group, in which the guest was Anna Gabriel. In the intervention, the agents identified Gabriel and the radio journalist Hala Bedi who was interviewing Gabriel and threatened to call the Ertzaintza if they did not evict the hall of the civic center Aldabe in ten minutes.

Although the City Council asked the courts not to issue a judgment on the event – because the act was suspended – Gabriel asked for the merits of the case to be studied. A year later, the judgment recognises that there was a violation of fundamental rights. In addition, it has imposed on the Government of Spain a coastal sentence which it has rejected the appeal of the Public Prosecutor ' s Office.

Hala Bedi collected in this video the time when his speech was interrupted:
