The fire took place at the end of the afternoon of 30 July at the Xiberta pinar in Angelu and at 22:00 hours there were still firefighters trying to quell the fire. In total, 165 hectares of forest have been burned in the Ebro area. About a hundred firefighters have been forced to control the flames by the strong wind streaks.
In Angelu there has been a great disaster: the pine grove, the Izadia ecological park, the playgrounds of the seaside... everything is burned. Neighbours living next to the jungle have had to be evicted from their homes and removed from them. The Prefecture has reported that at least five houses have been burned in full.
