- The presence of Basque on Android devices is fluctuating and the quality of the keyboard is variable. As a result, for many people, writing in Basque on the phone is more uncomfortable than writing in other languages. On the other hand, many of these keyboards raise privacy concerns because they usually track everything written and upload it to a server.
We have decided to fix this, and we have adopted the free keyboard Anysoft Keyboard and adapted it to the needs of the Basques:
– We have translated the AnySoftKeyboard app itself via Crowdin.
– We have created a dictionary to make proposals in Basque as they are written, based on what Igor Leturia has created for Firefox OS.
– the datraolat function has been added, it is obtained by pressing the d key long.
How to Install
Install the same Anysoft Keyboard (via Google Play or F-droid)
Install the Basque Language Pack for Anysoft (via Google Play or F-droid)
Play with the configuration, it is a very adaptable keyboard!
