The Amillubi project, which in this first year has achieved 290,000 euros, is pending to raise 100,000 euros to collect the farmhouse and the Amilibia land of the Iraeta district of Zestoa. This agro-ecological project launched by Biolur has already launched the land to respond to the needs of the sector. On 1 December will be the first great year, with one morning in Amillubi.
The Biolur association, in defense of organic cultivation, launched in December 2023 (we explain in this report) the challenge of collectivization of a hamlet of 90,000 square meters of rural land and 510 square meters useful in the meander of the Urola River. It has since achieved broad public support and support from institutions, businesses and social partners. It has achieved EUR 310,000, of which EUR 190,800 was distributed among the population through the crowfounding campaign; but there are still EUR 100,000 to be collected. To make the contribution, here's the option.
This is a plan by Goizpasa: commute will be launched in the Amillubi camp. Then they will celebrate the anniversary with an act and a lunch.
An old plough found in Amillubi begins to be reinvented in order to create a space that simulates the relief. The organizers have stated this: "We propose a friendly and humble meeting to thank you for the support we have received, to celebrate what we have done, to strengthen our community and to revitalize for the future," he added.
One of the objectives of the Amillubi project is to help meet the needs of the agroecological movement. And this work began in the first year, with a leek seminary for the summer season, in which more than 120,000 leek plants will continue to grow in the orchards of Gipuzkoa.
Today, eggplants, broccoli and large beans are sown and planted, in collaboration with Alekoa, who works the organic seeds of Euskal Herria. The gardeners will take advantage of the seeds that are extracted.
And in the field of Amillubi they intend to sow wheat to meet the needs of the baker group.
We are already analysing the repair works of the farmhouse, as explained in the newsletter they have sent to those who have joined the project: "Together with two people who work in bioconstruction, we are beginning to analyze the improvements to be made to the housing structure and the possibilities that exist."
On the other hand, this year the plant purification system has been put in place, a purification system for the dirty water generated in the farmhouse.
A multitude of talks have been given by towns presenting the Amillubi project. Amillubi has also become a meeting point: Miguel Arribas Kelo presented the book Haziak at the end of October. A number of workshops and auzolans have also been held this year. The most massive initiative was the Lurra Taupaka festival, which took place in May, and brought together 250 people in a festive atmosphere.
Anyone who wants to know the Amillubi project has the option of joining the Telegram channel. People who are already part of the Amillubi project will receive a couple of newsletters a year.
