Two of the young people in Alsasua serving sentences for the KOXKA bar incidents in 2016 have received the third grade and will have the opportunity to start leaving jail.

Some sources indicate that it could happen this Friday, but Altsasu Gurasoak has only confirmed that young people will be able to obtain the first exit permit, although he has not set a specific date until all the details of it are known.

Iñaki Abad was sentenced to four years and two months in prison for the judgment of the Supreme Court, and Aratz Urrizola was sentenced to three years and six months in prison. Both have been in prison for almost two years. Three more prisoners have already been incarcerated for three years: Oihan Arnanz, Jokin Unamuno and Adur Ramirez de Alda.

In particular, these three are the maximum sentences sentenced, since, following the Supreme Court’s ruling in October, they have been sentenced to between 8.5 and 9.5 years in prison. Jon Ander Cob and Julen Goikoetxea were sentenced to 7 and a half years in prison. Abad and Urrizola were the following in the number of years of punishment and the eighth conviction was that of Ainara Urquijo – a year and a half after the review of the Supreme – who did not enter prison.
