The Foral Police has arrested seven men in San Adrián, Bera, Pamplona/Iruña, Funes and Artica for crimes of male violence, among other locations. The police accuse four men of mistreatment and three others of breaking a restraining order in which they were arrested. Another has been arrested by the Municipal Police of Tudela and two by the Local Police of the capital of Alavesa.
In Tudela, a 32-year-old man has been arrested on charges of gender-based violence. He is accused of assaulting his wife, whom he had to attend in an emergency. The man is in custody of the Foral Police until he is brought to justice.
In Vitoria-Gasteiz, for its part, two men have been arrested on charges of gender-based violence. One of them, a 35-year-old male, is accused of physically and psychologically assaulting his former sentimental partner. The woman called on Monday at 8:30 a.m. the Municipal Police to report what happened on the site. The other detainee was on Saturday, 40 years old, alleged tanker member. The Municipal Police has indicated that after having a discussion with his partner, he threw her on the ground and beat her.
A man has sexually assaulted a woman at the festivities of the Old Port of Algorta, in Getxo, during the early hours of Saturday to Sunday. On Monday, a repulse rally called by the Feminist Movement has been held to denounce the machist aggression.
