He began working at the Lemoiz nuclear power plant at the age of eighteen, and in 1978, after an attack on it, he had to flee to Iparralde. In 1985 he was deported by the French Government to Quito, Ecuador, where he was kidnapped and tortured by Spanish police. A year later, the Government of Ecuador sent him to the island of Sao Tome, to date.
To this day, nine Basques and Basques continue to be deported and cannot return to their homes because of the Basque conflict. Four are in Cape Verde, three in Cuba and two in Venezuela, and four in Cape Verde. Despite having spent 33 years at 5,000 kilometers from Euskal Herria, he has heard of the avatars that have gone through here and has written several books: Back to Sara (Back to Sara), Barcas Verbales: Euskal Herria-Sao Tome 2010-2011 and the War of 58.
