On the road between Pamplona and Jaca, this year’s worker has died on a very narrow curve. The transporter, who was transporting a concrete truck in the area of La Yesa, has dug over it on Wednesday morning, without the emergency services being able to prevent his death.

The transporter was Navarro and the trade unions have denounced to the Government of Navarre the precarious situation of the sector, as it is not the first worker to die this way since the outbreak of the coronavirus crisis. The maximum allowed hours for lorries due to the alert situation has blurred, as they do not necessarily have to rest.

The unions have pointed out that in Navarre many of the people who work in this sector are autonomous and, being "the last link in the chain", they act in very bad conditions. In his view, these occupational deaths should not be considered as a "work-related accident".
