Does New Aquitaine support grazing?
  • On July 8, 2022, the county of Aquitaine Berria presented the calls for 2023 projects to unite the mountain and grazing. Changes include assistance for the handling of troops at the borders, so far called ‘Recovery of Board Areas 7-6-B’, which will henceforth be referred to as ‘Assistance for handling troops outside Predation Areas 70.31’. The same aid applies only to farmers travelling on board outside predation zones C0 and C1 fixed by a prefect document.

Farmers travelling on the banks of areas C1 and C0 ‘Predation investments 76.13’ shall not be affected by the special aid. Support troop protection measures must be implemented in plant by farmers, at least two of the following three: accelerated troop surveillance (broken presence of someone day and night); protective dogs; investiture materials (electrified currents).

The trade union Aski fite ELB has seized this matter and the change has gone against it.

The ELB Trade Union says that farmers, as hitherto, must maintain the choice between the two aids. These two aids do not have the same objective: one is to maintain biodiversity and life on the mountain and to enhance the areas on board; and the other is to protect predation troops on farms and on board.

Thanks to the help of the last few years 'Valorization of the areas of Borua 7-6-B', the region of New Aquitaine has quickly helped farmers who opt for violence and good mountain dynamics. In part, thanks to a lot of help, our mountains are so entertaining and intense. The recent decision taken by the New Aquitaine region establishes a very laborious dynamic that we know, which cannot be understood by seeing the challenges faced by the pastor in the Basque mountains.

On the other hand, the ELB trade union says that cohabitation between predator and grazing is impossible and refuses to make life on the mountain conditional on predation. In addition, the ELB Trade Union says that the protection measures to be implemented in the aid access plant called ‘Investments of farms 76.13 against predation’ are ineffective and inadequate for practices benefiting the northern areas of the Basque Country.

For a few months now, the ELB trade union has been voting against the changes to those responsible for the region and stadium in New Aquitaine. After some snowfalls, the solo continues with the others.

After the zonal month, the first troops are violently dominated and the peasants have nothing to do with the care of the troops and with the grazing. The ELB trade union is seriously asking the region to sink its roots. Support of 70.31 is necessary for all farmers to be accommodated, regardless of whether the board is located in one or another locality.

The peasants and the troops maintain attractive and successful bordillo areas and ensure a agile mountain economy, so they need help. To keep our mountains alive, let us encourage grazing!
